Mmmm...
Recently, Nicolodeon praised Michelle Obama for her work on obesity in children and young adults. I was just wondering...was that before or after she took the kids out for pizza and claimed that D.C. pizza is better than Chicago's.

The Executive Order 3/24/10
It has been reported that Obama signed the promised Executive Order about abortion today. He had to promise this signing to get Stupak and his friends to vote for the Health Care Bill.
There is only one fly in this ointment and that is the Executive Order is more than just likely, worthless. An Executive Order cannot make a law or change a law. It can direct the Executive Branch of government to do this or that. Well that is what it is supposed to do. Unless of course Obama would just ignore the Constitution, you know, that document he swore to preserve, protect and uphold to the best of his ability.
This also raises a few questions from me.
Is this to say that Stupak and others in congress, stood and took an oath to uphold the Constitution and does not know what's in it? Does this also mean that Obama, knowingly pulled a slick move on Stupak and friends with the promise of a worthless order? Or does it mean that Obama, a supposed Constitutional Lawyer, does not know the Constitution either?

As many of you know, the Health Care Bill HR 3590 passed last night with a 219-212 vote. That bill will be sent to the eagerly awaiting Obama to be signed. Also, the Reconciliation Bill passed which will go to the senate.
Both of these bills were on shaky ground, till certain "promises" (bribes) were put forth.
The Health Care Bill HR 3590 contains blatant bribery. The Cornhusker kickback, the Louisiana Purchase, etc.(nicknames given to favors given by some in congress to get the votes of those representing various states). Even with these "favors" there were still more than a few House Reps who had strong reservations about what was contained in the bill. Low and behold, the Reconciliation Bill was born to swing the votes of those yet undecided and leaning towards no. (Would that put the Reconciliation bill in the category of a bribe?) And then, to insure all the bases were covered Obama promises an Executive Order concerning abortion to sway Stupak's vote to a yes. (then does that make the Executive Order a bribe?)
The whole thing stinks of skullduggery if you ask me. I have to ask this...
If Obama signs the Health Care Bill HR 3590 into law, and knows it contains unlawful bribes in it, does that make him guilty of bribery as put forth in our Constitution? A disqualification offense? Oh but there is the Reconciliation Bill to take care of those bribes. Why should another bill be introduced to "take care" of the wrongs of a bill that is KNOWINGLY wrong and passed by congress. Sure, mistakes are made and bills need to be adjusted and amended from time to time, but HR 3590 is flawed at the gitgo, and they ALL know it, but because of favors passed it anyway.
Harry Reid had to present a document containing the signatures of those in the senate that would pass the Reconciliation Bill to get it to pass in the house. What if those senators change their mind and decide to really represent "the people"? That would leave HR 3590 out there on its own, a bill that might be proved unconstitutional on more than a few issues.
Those in Congress take the following oath:
The current oath was enacted in 1884:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the
Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and
domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I
take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of
evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the
office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
The President takes an Oath:
Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II,
Section I of the U.S. Constitution:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the
office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my
ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United
States."
Section 4 - Disqualification
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States,
shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of,
Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
It does not matter in which order Obama signs these bills. One contains bribery, the other is a bribe and so is the proposed Executive Order.
bribe (brb)
n.
1. Something, such as money or a favor, offered or given to a person in a
position of trust to influence that person's views or conduct.
2. Something serving to influence or persuade.
bribe [bra?b]
vb
to promise, offer, or give something, usually money, to (a person) to
procure services or gain influence, esp illegally
n
1. a reward, such as money or favour, given or offered for this purpose
2. any persuasion or lure
Keep smiling Obama. High-five your chief of staff. Let Pelosi walk around with a grin from ear to ear. Enjoy it while you can. Just maybe the law of the land will actually bring about justice for We The People.
I guess we will see.

Our Voice in Congress
Listening to the news today, it seems that the Democrats may very well get the votes they need to pass the Health Care Bill. There is no question that we need reform. We do not need it in the way this bill is put together. Our elected officials however are showing that THEY think they know what's best for us and what we want just does not matter.
I have listened to Obama consistently whine about what he and the dems inherited when he took office. Maybe I was dreaming, but in 2006 the democrats had the majority in Congress and did NOTHING. They sat on their hands when President Bush asked for different things. They ignored proposals that did not suit their idea of the way things should be. The dems have had 4(four) years to do something, not 1(one).
It has been said by some in congress that once the people see that they cannot change things, they will give up and accept what is given to them and shut up. I have news for those of you that think this way.
We will NOT shut up! We will NOT give up! We will NOT give in!
See you in November, maybe sooner.

Our Congressmen and Congresswomen
Greetings Congressmen and Congresswomen, So many of you do not want to talk to the people you represent by tying up your own phone lines and blocking emails. LOL
Do you really think this is the way to act? Do you think it will make a difference in how the people feel?
Well, you are right in one sense. It will and is making a difference. The people are getting more angry and frustrated at being ignored.
What exactly did you think? That when you campaigned for the people's vote and made promises that it was all a dog and pony show? We have entrusted to you a position to represent the people in your districts and states. It was not a credit card to spend our votes any way you chose.
Many of you show up for votes and are not seen or heard from again. Thankfully, in my state, we have at least one representative who takes the time to listen to his district and consequently will have my vote when he is up for re-election. He has stood in congress and said that his constituents vote yes or no on bills. How many of you can say that? Don't look around at the one sitting next to you. Look in the mirror. If you cannot honestly say that you do that, or will do that, then we really do not need you to represent us, now do we :)
I cannot emphasize enough that this country is a republic not a democracy. For too long we have let the parties choose who we can vote for and in that respect I guess we can say its a democracy. But its NOT the way it should be.
Our Constitution is not just a piece of paper drawn up over 200 yrs ago by some guys sitting around with nothing to do, It is a living canopy of rights and rules that covers this nation. It lives because of WE THE PEOPLE !
This uprising of Americans is not just because of a health bill or opinions on a war. It is about you, Congress abusing our trust. We are a nation with a tendency towards trusting and believing. We believed you when you said you were on our side. We trusted you to do your job with us in mind.
This post does not apply to ALL congressmen and congresswomen but it does cover a lot of you. To those that cared enough to listen to us, Thank You. To those that are trying to squirm out from hearing from us, SHAME ON YOU.

Slaughter Rule
Article VIThe Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures,
and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be
bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required
as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
The above is part of the Constitution of the United States. Yet over and over again we see Congress and Obama trying very hard to sidestep the rules.
We have seen bribery, closed door negotiations, and to my knowledge no journals have been published to let us know what went on behind closed doors.(Which is also part of the constitution)
Section 5 - Membership, Rules, Journals, Adjournment
Each House shall keep a Journal of its Proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such Parts as may in their Judgment require Secrecy; and the Yeas and Nays of the Members of either House on any question shall, at the Desire of one fifth of those Present, be entered on the Journal.
Neither House, during the Session of Congress, shall, without the Consent of the other, adjourn for more than three days, nor to any other Place than that in which the two Houses shall be sitting.
Now, since more and more congressmen are listening to their constituents, Pelosi and friends have come up with this..Slaughter Rule. A rule designed to blatently ignore our Constitution and the rules governing the passing of a bill.
If you have taken a look at Obama, do you see what I see? He acts like a stubborn child who, if he cannot have his own way, stomps off and then comes back to the playground and tries another tactic to get what he wants. He does not care what he has to do to get his own way, just that it is his way, period. That is what he is doing with Health Care. How dare We the People say NO to him. How dare we oppose something HE wants. It is almost as if he thinks he is the king and we are his subjects.
Well Mr. Obama, guess what? This is NOT a democracy, this is a Republic. We elected representatives to represent US, not you. Keep this in mind also, Mr. Obama. We do not have to wait till November to make changes.
